A blank is a card that appears unlikely to change the important made hands or draws in a particular situation. It is also called a brick. No card is universally a blank, because its effect depends on the board and the players' ranges.
Example of Blank:
On an A-K-9 flop with two spades, an offsuit two on the turn may be considered a blank. It does not complete the spade draw or a likely broadway straight.
