The Israeli poker professional, who won the 2025 PokerStars North American Poker Tour (NAPT) Main Event and has appeared on popular cash game shows including Live at the Bike and Hustler Casino Live, was taken into custody at Los Angeles International Airport on July 20. At the time of writing, the reason for his ICE detention has not been publicly disclosed.
Who Is Gal Yifrach?
Yifrach has been a familiar face in the poker world for several years.
His biggest career breakthrough came in 2018 when he won Event #68: $3,000 No-Limit Hold’em 6-Handed at the World Series of Poker, earning his first gold bracelet and a prize of $461,791.
