Jamie Dwan’s remarkable summer continued in Coventry as the British poker player won the £2,000 Goliath Super High Roller for £47,200.
Dwan defeated Brandon Sheils heads-up at the Grosvenor Goliath, overcoming an 89-entry field to claim another major title less than three weeks after winning his first World Series of Poker bracelet in Las Vegas.
The Super High Roller generated a £152,200 prize pool, with the top 10 players finishing in the money. Sheils collected £31,500 as runner-up, while Daniel Carney completed the podium and earned £20,550.
Jamie Dwan Continues Breakout 2026 Poker Run
The victory adds another trophy to what has already become a career-defining year for Dwan.
Earlier in July, he won the $50,000 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller at the 2026 WSOP for $2,276,691. It was his first bracelet and comfortably the largest recorded live tournament cash of his career.
That tournament featured a $9,595,000 prize pool and ended with Dwan defeating Daniel Rezaei heads-up. Dwan entered the final duel facing a sizeable chip deficit but recovered to secure the bracelet and seven-figure first prize.
His latest success came in a very different setting. Rather than competing inside the enormous WSOP festival in Las Vegas, Dwan returned to the UK and joined the Goliath action at Coventry Building Society Arena.
The prize was smaller, but the result demonstrated that his WSOP victory was not an isolated breakthrough. Dwan has now won two high roller titles on opposite sides of the Atlantic within the same month.

The final table included several players who had already recorded notable results during a busy summer of live poker.
Paul Tait, who also cashed in the 2026 WSOP Main Event, finished ninth for £4,600. Matthew Davenport followed in eighth, while Irish tournament regular Conor O’Driscoll collected £7,900 for sixth.
Yuzhou Yin entered the tournament shortly after finishing third in the £1,250 Goliath Main Event. Yin added another £10,650 in fifth place, becoming the first player at the Super High Roller final table to collect a five-figure payout.
Brandon Harris earned £14,450 in fourth before Carney’s elimination reduced the field to two. Carney’s £20,550 payout was one of the largest recorded tournament results of his career.
Dwan Denies Brandon Sheils Another Goliath Title
Dwan faced an in-form opponent during the final heads-up match.
Sheils had already won the £1,500 Goliath High Roller for £54,130 earlier in the festival and was attempting to complete an impressive high roller double in Coventry.
No heads-up deal was agreed, leaving £47,200 for the champion and £31,500 for second place. Dwan ultimately denied Sheils his second title and secured the latest victory of his outstanding summer.
Dwan’s two recent wins have also transformed his career earnings. His WSOP victory took his recorded live tournament winnings beyond $3 million, with the Goliath result increasing that total further.
There is no shortage of famous players sharing the Dwan surname, but Jamie Dwan is not related to high-stakes poker icon Tom “durrrr” Dwan. The British player has now established a substantial reputation of his own, with a WSOP bracelet, a multimillion-dollar career-best score and a Goliath Super High Roller title all secured during a memorable 2026 campaign.
