Poker Dream Malaysia 26 Brings MYR 4 Million Main Event to Genting Highlands

Poker Dream is returning to Genting Highlands for a major 12-day festival featuring 60 events and a MYR 4 million guaranteed Main Event.

Poker Dream Malaysia 26 runs from October 8 to 19, with buy-ins stretching from affordable satellites to a MYR 20,000 Super High Roller.

At the centre of the festival is the Main Event, which begins on October 15 and carries a MYR 4 million guarantee, equivalent to approximately $1 million.

A MYR 1.5 million guaranteed Malaysia Open, several Mystery Bounty tournaments and a dedicated selection of high rollers add further depth to one of Poker Dream’s biggest remaining festivals of 2026.

Poker Dream Malaysia Returns to Genting Highlands

Genting Highlands is familiar territory for Poker Dream.

The tour was launched at Resorts World Genting in July 2022 under co-founder Winfred Yu and has subsequently expanded its presence across the Asian poker market.

Events have been held in destinations including Taiwan, South Korea and Vietnam, but Genting Highlands has remained an important recurring home for the tour.

Poker Dream Malaysia 26 continues that relationship just two months after the previous festival concluded at the same venue in August.

This time, players have 60 numbered events spread across 12 days.

MYR 4 Million Poker Dream Main Event Starts October 15

The biggest tournament on the schedule begins on Thursday, October 15.

Poker Dream Malaysia 26’s Main Event runs through October 19 and carries a MYR 4 million guaranteed prize pool.

Players can choose from different starting flights, with Main Event buy-ins ranging from MYR 3,200 to MYR 4,800 depending on the flight.

That gives travelling players several opportunities to enter before the remaining field combines for the latter stages.

  • Dates: October 15-19, 2026
  • Venue: Resorts World Genting, Genting Highlands
  • Guarantee: MYR 4 million
  • Approximate guarantee: $1 million
  • Buy-ins: MYR 3,200 to MYR 4,800 depending on flight

The guarantee matches the MYR 4 million offered during Poker Dream’s previous summer visit to Genting Highlands.

Early Main Event Entries Come With Extra Benefits

Poker Dream is also trying to encourage players to commit before the festival begins.

The first 100 Main Event entrants receive bubble protection across the Day 1 flights and will be entered into a random draw offering two $1,000 Poker Dream 27 tournament credits.

Players registering early can also access selected hotel discounts.

A MYR 4,800 Main Event entry can qualify for a 25% discount at selected hotels, while the MYR 3,200 option comes with a 20% discount.

Other promotions target players planning larger schedules.

Pre-funded balances of MYR 15,000, MYR 30,000 and MYR 60,000 can receive additional tournament credit, subject to availability and the promotional conditions.

The largest deposit level adds MYR 3,000 in credit.

Malaysia Open Offers MYR 1.5 Million Guarantee

Players will not have to wait until October 15 for one of the festival’s biggest prize pools.

The Malaysia Open begins on October 9 and carries a MYR 1.5 million guarantee.

It runs until October 11 before a succession of Mystery Bounty, Ultra Stack and High Roller tournaments takes the festival towards its Main Event.

Among the other guaranteed tournaments are a MYR 400,000 Mystery Bounty, MYR 300,000 Ultra Stack, MYR 300,000 Monster Stack and MYR 200,000 Mini Main Event.

That creates several substantial targets for players who do not want to concentrate their entire trip around the Main Event.

MYR 20,000 Super High Roller Tops the Buy-Ins

The biggest direct buy-in of Poker Dream Malaysia 26 is the MYR 20,000 Super High Roller.

It begins on October 15 and concludes the following day.

Poker Dream is offering an additional incentive for players entering the tournament, with a package providing two complimentary nights at RW Hotel Premier. The offer is limited to 30 players.

Other high-stakes tournaments include a MYR 12,000 High Roller Mystery Bounty, MYR 10,000 single-day High Roller and MYR 10,000 High Roller Ultra Stack.

A MYR 5,000 Mini High Roller arrives on the final day.

Mixed Games Add Variety to the Poker Dream Schedule

Hold’em may dominate the biggest prize pools, but Poker Dream Malaysia 26 is not exclusively a No-Limit Hold’em festival.

The schedule includes Seven Card Stud, Omaha Hi-Lo and several draw variants.

That variety is particularly welcome on a 12-day schedule.

Rather than filling every available slot with another Hold’em tournament, Poker Dream is giving mixed-game players opportunities alongside its Mystery Bounty, Deepstack, Ultra Stack and High Roller offerings.

It also gives players eliminated from one of the major events considerably more choice over what to play next.

Poker Dream Malaysia 26 Counts Towards Player of the Year

There is more at stake in Malaysia than individual tournament prizes.

Results from the festival count towards Poker Dream’s season-long Player of the Year competitions.

The 2026 season expanded the system with Ladies and Regional titles alongside the primary Poker Dream Player of the Year standings.

That means results accumulated across the 60-event Malaysia schedule could have consequences later in the season, particularly for players already competing near the top of those races.

Poker Dream Continues Its Growth Across Asia

Poker Dream’s return to Genting Highlands comes four years after the tour first launched at the Malaysian resort.

Its subsequent expansion into other major Asian poker destinations has helped establish a wider circuit, but repeated returns to Genting show that Malaysia remains central to the tour.

Malaysia 26 also demonstrates how much can now be packed into one Poker Dream stop.

There are lower-cost satellites and regular tournaments, a sizeable mixed-game schedule, Mystery Bounties, high rollers and promotional packages designed to attract players travelling to the resort for several days.

Above everything sits the MYR 4 million Main Event.

The first cards of Poker Dream Malaysia 26 will be dealt on October 8. By October 19, one player will leave Genting Highlands as its latest Main Event champion.
