Ossi “Monarch” Ketola has defeated Patrik Antonius in poker’s extraordinary $20 million heads-up battle after producing a straight flush in a pot worth an astonishing $15.925 million.
The two Finns began the Duel.com Heads-Up Match at Triton Jeju II with $20 million on the table. By the time it ended, Ketola had taken the entire match and added another remarkable chapter to a high-stakes run that has already produced some of the largest televised poker pots ever seen.
For Poker Type readers, this result is the natural follow-up to the earlier Patrik Antonius vs Monarch $20 million showdown. It also adds another huge moment to the ongoing Triton Jeju II festival, where many of poker’s biggest names are back in action.
The $15.925 Million Hand That Changed the Match
Ketola held Q♥9♥ against Antonius’ K♦9♠ in the defining hand of the match.
What followed was the kind of runout that turns an already enormous heads-up game into a clip people will keep replaying. Ketola connected strongly on the flop, improved to a straight flush on the turn, and then watched a blank river confirm a pot worth almost $16 million.
Flop Gives Ketola Top Pair and a Huge Combo Draw
The flop came Q♠ 8♥ J♥, giving Ketola top pair along with a powerful combination draw. He also held an open-ended straight draw and a flush draw, while Antonius paired his nine and retained his own straight possibilities.
The texture made the hand dangerous immediately. Ketola was already in the stronger position, but Antonius still had enough equity and enough of the board to continue building the pot.
Turn Completes a Straight Flush as Antonius Makes a King-High Straight
Then came the 10♥.
That one card changed everything. Ketola improved to a queen-high straight flush, Q♥J♥10♥9♥8♥, while Antonius simultaneously made a king-high straight with K♦9♠ on the Q♠8♥J♥10♥ board.
It was about as brutal a turn card as Antonius could have received. He had improved to an extremely strong hand in a heads-up pot worth millions, only to discover that Ketola had made one of the strongest possible hands in poker.
The betting continued and the pot swelled to $15.925 million. Ketola was all-in, while Antonius was effectively drawing dead.
River Changes Nothing as the $15.925 Million Pot Goes to Ketola
The river was the 3♣, a complete blank.
Ketola’s straight flush held, and the $15.925 million pot moved his way. Triton immediately highlighted the moment as a “STRAIGHT FLUSH FOR $15.925 MILLION,” and the hand became the defining moment of the match.
The result left Antonius with only around $4.1 million remaining and Ketola in overwhelming control.
Antonius Had Already Lost a $5.2 Million Cooler
Ketola had not enjoyed complete control from the beginning.
Earlier in the match, a $5.2 million pot shifted the lead as the two players traded huge blows. Triton described that hand as a cooler, and at that stage the $20 million confrontation was still very much alive.
That changed dramatically once the straight flush arrived.
The $15.925 million pot dwarfed even the huge hands Ketola had previously played at Triton. His 2025 Jeju appearances included a $10.99 million pot against Alex Foxen and another worth $12.7 million against Bjorn Li.
Now he had been involved in one worth almost $16 million.

Antonius continued after the straight-flush disaster, but there was no comeback.
Triton later confirmed the conclusion of the match, announcing that Ketola had taken down Antonius in the $20 million Duel.com Heads-Up Match. The victory means Ketola won the $20 million sitting on the table rather than making $20 million in profit.
The distinction matters.
With $10 million effectively coming from each player, Ketola’s victory represents approximately $10 million in profit from the match itself.
It is another extraordinary result in what has become a remarkable return to the highest-stakes heads-up games in poker.
Monarch’s High-Stakes Comeback Gets Even Bigger
Only days ago, Ketola was battling Wiktor “Limitless” Malinowski at the same Triton Jeju II festival.
The pair played a succession of escalating heads-up matches, with Ketola eventually winning the series 3-1 and finishing around $6 million ahead. That result followed the spectacular Monarch vs Jungleman heads-up war that helped make Ketola one of the most closely watched cash-game players in poker.
His latest opponent represented something different.
Antonius has been competing in poker’s biggest cash games for more than two decades. He won a then-record $1.35 million online pot against Viktor Blom in 2009 and later set a US livestream cash-game record with a $1.978 million pot against Eric Persson in 2023.
The Poker Hall of Famer entered Friday’s match with more than $34 million in recorded live tournament winnings and a reputation built at stakes very few players have ever experienced.
Ketola still beat him.
From $15 Million Jungleman Defeat to $20 Million Antonius Win
The victory becomes even more striking when compared with where Ketola was a year ago.
During his extraordinary 2025 confrontation with Dan “Jungleman” Cates, Ketola won two of the first three matches before Cates took over as the stakes increased. Jungleman won the final three encounters and finished their six-match series approximately €13 million ahead, worth around $15 million at the time.
Ketola did not respond by moving down in stakes.
Instead, he continued seeking out elite heads-up opponents. His latest run has now included Malinowski and Antonius, with Friday’s victory producing what may be the most memorable hand of his career.
The wider Triton Jeju II festival continues through September 17, with the $200,000 Triton Invitational beginning on September 12.
In an unusual twist, Antonius and Ketola are scheduled to become partners again for that event.
