FINALVERDICT7 has won the largest CoinMillion tournament in CoinPoker history, beating a record 5,321-entry field to collect $123,979. The $215 event ran on September 13 during the Global Online Poker Championship and generated a prize pool of roughly $1.06 million.
The result is another strong attendance marker for CoinPoker during a series that has been designed to push the site’s tournament traffic to a new level. It also arrives less than a month after the GOPC opening week was disrupted by technical problems, making the latest turnout a useful sign that players have continued to show up in large numbers.
FINALVERDICT7 Comes Back From 10th on Day 2
FINALVERDICT7 began Day 2 in 10th place rather than carrying a runaway stack into the final stages. The eventual champion worked through a field that included 3,969 unique players and reached the final table without a deal being agreed among the remaining contenders.
That made the late stages a straightforward fight for the scheduled payouts. With shallow stacks and large pay jumps, there was plenty of reason for the finalists to consider a chop, but play continued until one player had every chip.
CoinMillion Final Table Produces a Clean Finish
Doritos23 finished runner-up for $78,218 after entering the tournament three times. ComoAAgua took third, while CoinPoker ambassador Girafganger7 also made a deep run before finishing 31st.
The final hand gave FINALVERDICT7 a premium spot to close the tournament. Holding pocket kings, the champion raised and was called by Doritos23 with pocket eights before the remaining chips eventually went in on a queen-high board.
Doritos23 picked up additional straight equity on the turn but could not improve on the river. The kings held, ending a tournament that had already set a new CoinMillion attendance record before the final table was reached.
CoinMillion Breaks Its Own Attendance Record
The 5,321-entry field surpassed the previous CoinMillion record of 4,986 entries. That is a meaningful jump for a flagship event only a handful of editions into its life, especially because the $215 buy-in places it above the micro and low-stakes mass-field tournaments that usually generate five-figure entry counts.
CoinMillion has become one of CoinPoker’s clearest attempts to establish a recurring headline tournament rather than rely entirely on festival schedules. Players begin with deep starting stacks, the event carries a $1 million guarantee, and champions receive a physical trophy alongside their online result.
FINALVERDICT7 now joins that Hall of Champions with one of the biggest scores in the event’s short history. Before this result, the player had recorded less than $1,000 in tournament earnings on the platform, making the $123,979 win a fairly dramatic change in bankroll trajectory.
GOPC Still Has Bigger Targets Ahead
The record CoinMillion comes in the middle of CoinPoker’s $50 million Global Online Poker Championship. The series runs through September 28 and includes hundreds of medal events, with several of its largest tournaments still to be decided.
CoinPoker is also preparing to go even bigger after GOPC. Poker Type recently reported on The One, a $250 tournament with a $5 million guarantee and at least $1 million reserved for the winner.
That makes the latest CoinMillion record more than a standalone result. CoinPoker is trying to build a ladder of recurring and festival events that can keep large tournament fields on the site, and 5,321 entries is exactly the kind of number it will want to reproduce when the next flagship starts.
