Han Feng is threatening to turn an already remarkable summer into an exceptional one after taking the chip lead into the final table of the €1,650 PokerStars Open Main Event at EPT Barcelona.
Just weeks after finishing fifth in the 2026 WSOP Main Event for $2.25 million, Feng has reached another final table after navigating a huge 4,333-entry field in Spain.
Only eight players remain in contention at Casino Barcelona, with €731,000 awaiting the eventual champion.
Feng will begin the final table with the biggest stack and a significant advantage over his closest challenger, France’s Gregoire Jarry.
Feng Continues Incredible Run After WSOP Main Event
Feng arrived in Barcelona with his profile transformed by his performance in Las Vegas.
He reached the final table of the 2026 World Series of Poker Main Event and eventually finished fifth, collecting $2.25 million in the biggest tournament of the year.
There has been little sign of a post-WSOP slowdown.
Feng entered Day 3 of the PokerStars Open with 80 players remaining and already held a commanding chip lead. Instead of simply protecting that advantage, he continued accumulating chips throughout the day.
By the end of play, his stack had increased by more than six times its size at the beginning of Day 3.
The result is another major final table and the opportunity to add €731,000 to his summer winnings.
Feng’s latest run also comes shortly after Lucas Jumalon won the 2026 WSOP Main Event, with the Barcelona festival bringing several players from this summer’s World Series back into major tournament action.
4,333 Entries Create Huge PokerStars Open Field
Reaching the final eight required Feng and his remaining opponents to survive one of the largest fields of the EPT Barcelona festival.
The €1,650 PokerStars Open Main Event attracted 4,333 entries across eight starting flights.
After the Day 1 fields were combined, two further days of tournament poker reduced the field to a single eight-handed table.
Feng’s nearest challenger is Jarry, although the American will begin the final with a lead of several million chips over the French player.
The €731,000 first prize means the final table could produce another significant addition to Feng’s rapidly growing tournament record.
Fedor Holz Reaches €100,000 Super High Roller Final
Feng is not the only major name chasing a title in Barcelona.
Fedor Holz has reached the final table of the €100,000 EPT Super High Roller, although the German star enters the decisive stage as the shortest stack.
Tom Fuchs leads that event as the remaining players compete for one of the biggest prizes available during the festival.
The high-stakes action has already produced several notable winners in Barcelona.
Brock Wilson and Klemens Roiter were among the early champions, with both adding EPT high roller titles to their tournament records.
Panagiotis Mavritsakis Wins PokerStars Open Cup
Another Barcelona trophy has gone to Panagiotis Mavritsakis.
Mavritsakis won the €825 PokerStars Open Cup for €193,120 following a heads-up deal, adding another six-figure winner to the opening stages of the festival.
Attention will now increasingly turn toward the €5,300 EPT Barcelona Main Event.
The tournament begins on Saturday, August 22 at Casino Barcelona, with the final table scheduled for August 29.
Livestream coverage is scheduled to begin with Day 2 on August 24 and continue through the remainder of the tournament.
Can Feng Complete A Remarkable Summer?
Feng’s position creates one of the most compelling stories of the Barcelona festival so far.
Reaching a WSOP Main Event final table is a career-defining achievement on its own. Following it by immediately navigating another field containing more than 4,000 entries is considerably harder to dismiss as a single tournament run.
Victory in Barcelona would also take Feng’s combined winnings from the two tournaments to the equivalent of well over $3 million.
First, he has seven players standing between him and the PokerStars Open title.
He will at least start that battle from the position every tournament player wants: with more chips than anyone else at the table.
