Bobby James is one of the most recognizable poker content creators in the UK. Combining tournament poker, industry knowledge, and regular streaming content, he has built a loyal audience across YouTube, Twitch, and social media. Who Is Bobby James?
Robert “Bobby” James is a British poker player, streamer, and content creator who also works as a community and content manager within the online poker industry.
While he has been cashing in live tournaments since 2015, 2024 proved to be a breakthrough year. His biggest result came at the PokerStars European Poker Tour Cyprus Main Event, where he finished fifth in the $5,300 tournament for a career-best $271,400.
That score capped an impressive EPT Cyprus series that also included a victory in the $1,100 Mixed Games 8-Game event, a deep run in the Eureka Main Event, and a cash in the Eureka High Roller.
Bobby James’ $750,000 Heads-Up Run
ames produced the biggest online cash-game result of his public career during two streamed CoinPoker sessions against “stanleymenzo” in November 2025. The match began at $200/$400 with a $40,000 buy-in before escalating to $500/$1,000, repeated $100,000 reloads and the sort of preflop punts that make a commentator briefly forget he is supposed to sound calm.
James finished the opening five-hour session with $541,162 on screen. A second session pushed the combined result beyond $750,000, giving his audience a rare view of a creator handling genuine nosebleed stakes rather than simply narrating somebody else’s million-dollar pots.
Away from the live felt, Bobby regularly streams online tournaments and creates content covering poker news, industry stories, tournament updates, and life as a professional poker player.
