How Poker Type Builds Player Profiles

We build reference pages using official results, interviews, player statements and reputable tournament records. Profiles explain the career behind the numbers, with recorded cashes clearly distinguished from profit or personal wealth.

We update pages when verified results or career developments change the record. Our Editorial Policy explains our approach to sourcing, corrections and updates.

Poker Player Profiles FAQ

What information is included in a Poker Type player profile?

Profiles combine verified career background, major tournament results, notable cash-game or online achievements, sponsorships and the moments that shaped a player’s reputation. Where figures can change, such as live tournament earnings, we identify the source and avoid presenting recorded cashes as poker profit or personal wealth.

How often are poker profiles updated?

We update profiles when a significant new result, partnership, record or verified career development materially changes the page. That allows profiles such as Daniel Negreanu, Benny Glaser and Kevin Martin to function as living reference pages rather than one-time biographies.

What is the difference between a poker profile and a creator profile?

Player profiles focus primarily on a person’s poker career and results. Our Poker Creators section focuses more heavily on video, streaming and audience-building, although some people naturally belong in both worlds.

Do tournament earnings show how much a player has won in profit?

No. Recorded tournament earnings usually show prize money from tracked cashes, without deducting buy-ins, travel, staking arrangements or other costs. They also exclude many cash-game and online results, so they cannot establish a player’s total profit or net worth.

Do the profiles cover cash-game and online poker players?

Yes. The directory includes tournament champions, online specialists, mixed-game players and high-stakes cash-game regulars. Public records vary between these formats, so each profile explains the available evidence rather than treating a tournament ranking as a complete measure of ability.

How can I find a particular poker player?

Use Search Poker Profiles to filter the directory by name or a detail mentioned in the profile preview. You can also use the Quick Find links or browse all player cards below the featured profiles. If a player is not listed, we may not have published their profile yet.
