Tournament Poker

A satellite is a tournament that awards entry to another event instead of, or alongside, cash prizes. Several players can win identical seats. When prizes are equal, accumulating every chip is less important than securing one of the qualifying places.

Example

Example of Satellite

A satellite awards five seats to a $1,000 tournament. When five players remain, each receives a seat regardless of their chip count.
