Range
A range is the collection of hands a player could reasonably hold in a given situation. Strong poker decisions are usually based on how your hand performs against an opponent’s range rather than against one exact hand.
Example
If a player raises from early position, you might assign them a tighter range than you would after the same raise from the button.
