Poker Terms A–Z
Muck
To muck means to fold a hand without showing it, or to place cards into the dealer’s pile of dead cards. The word can also refer to that pile itself.
Example
If an opponent shows a winning hand at showdown, you may release your losing cards face down into the muck.
