To go all-in means to bet or raise every chip you have remaining. Once all your chips are committed, you cannot make any further betting decisions in the hand, although other players may continue betting into a side pot. Example You have 18,000 chips and move all 18,000 into the middle preflop. You are all-in and cannot bet again during that hand.
