Tournament Poker

A button ante is an ante paid by the player on the dealer button on behalf of the table. It is separate from the small and big blinds. Its amount and any adjustments for short-handed play depend on the event structure.

Example of Button Ante:
At a table with a 1,000-chip button ante, the button contributes 1,000 before the deal. The small and big blinds post their separate blind amounts.
