Brazilian poker pro Fabiano Kovalski enjoyed an extraordinary finish to EPT Barcelona, winning two major titles in the space of just a few days and collecting more than €1.1 million from the victories alone.
Kovalski first conquered the €3,250 Mystery Bounty before completing the double by winning the €10,300 EPT High Roller. His second victory came with a €727,280 payday after a heads-up deal with Belgium’s Igor Picone.
It capped a remarkable week for the Brazilian at Casino Barcelona and came at the end of an EPT festival packed with big results, including Manuel Ferrari winning the EPT Barcelona Main Event for more than €1 million.
Kovalski Wins Two EPT Barcelona Titles in Three Days
Kovalski’s first trophy came on August 27 in the €3,250 EPT Mystery Bounty.
The tournament attracted 1,027 entries, with Kovalski navigating the huge field to take the title. He collected €331,430 from the regular prize pool and another €54,000 in bounties, giving him a total payout of €385,430.
There was barely time to celebrate.
Two days later, Kovalski was back at a final table, this time with considerably more money on the line.
The €10,300 EPT High Roller attracted 429 entries and generated a €4,161,300 prize pool. Kovalski reached heads-up play against Igor Picone before the pair agreed a deal.
Kovalski then finished the job to secure the trophy and €727,280.
Those two victories alone earned him €1,112,710 during an astonishing three-day spell in Barcelona.

The final stages featured plenty of familiar names beyond the eventual champion.
Two-time WSOP bracelet winner Alexandre Reard finished sixth, while Leo Worthington-Leese took eighth. Aram Zobian, Jon Ander Vallinas, Brock Wilson, Jason Wheeler and former WSOP bracelet winner Eugene Katchalov were among the other notable players making deep runs.
Wilson had already tasted success earlier in the festival, while Wheeler was attempting to add another huge result after winning the 4,333-entry PokerStars Open Main Event for €731,000.
Barcelona Continues to Be a Happy Hunting Ground
Kovalski’s extraordinary week becomes even more impressive when viewed alongside his previous results in Barcelona.
The Brazilian has repeatedly produced some of the biggest performances of his career at Casino Barcelona.
Most notably, Kovalski reached the final table of the 2022 EPT Barcelona Main Event, eventually finishing fourth for €565,280.
Four years later, he returned to the same venue and added two EPT trophies in a matter of days.
His 2026 festival was not limited to the two victories either. Kovalski also recorded cashes in the PokerStars Open Main Event and EPT Main Event, taking his total haul from the Barcelona festival comfortably beyond €1.1 million.
A Huge Leap for Kovalski
The Barcelona results have transformed Kovalski’s year.
Before arriving in Spain, the 38-year-old had yet to record the kind of major live result that would define his 2026 campaign. He left with two trophies, his largest recorded tournament payday and another memorable chapter in his history at the venue.
His career live tournament earnings now stand at around $4.8 million, putting him among Brazil’s most successful live tournament players.
Brazil has produced an increasingly deep pool of elite tournament talent over the past decade, and Kovalski’s Barcelona double adds another major international result to that record.
Two Trophies, One Remarkable EPT Barcelona
Winning a large-field tournament at an EPT festival is difficult enough. Winning another major event before the first trophy has had time to gather dust is something else entirely.
Kovalski defeated a combined 1,456 entries across the two tournaments, earning more than €1.1 million and walking away with two EPT Barcelona titles.
For a player who already had a history of producing some of his best poker in Barcelona, 2026 turned that connection into something considerably more remarkable.
