High Stakes Poker Announces Historic Seven-Night Live Run With CoinPoker

High Stakes Poker is attempting something it has never done before, with seven consecutive days of live cash game action coming to PokerGO and CoinPoker signed as presenting sponsor.

High Stakes Poker is preparing for one of the biggest live experiments in the show’s history.

From August 25 through August 31, the famous cash game series will broadcast live from the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas for seven consecutive days.

It will be the first time High Stakes Poker has attempted an entire week of live broadcasts.

CoinPoker has been named presenting sponsor for the seven-day run, extending the online poker site’s increasingly visible involvement in high-stakes live poker.

Andrew Robl and Alejandro Lococo Among First Players Confirmed

A High Stakes Poker event ultimately comes down to who is sitting at the table, and several familiar names have already been announced.

High-stakes cash game regular Andrew Robl is expected to play, alongside Rick Salomon and CoinPoker ambassador Alejandro “Papo MC” Lococo.

Further players and exact broadcast times are expected to be revealed ahead of the opening session on August 25.

Robl is particularly suited to the format.

He has become one of the defining players of the modern High Stakes Poker era, regularly appearing in some of the largest televised and streamed cash games in Las Vegas.

Lococo brings a very different audience.

The Argentinian poker professional and rapper has become one of Latin America’s most recognizable poker personalities and is closely associated with CoinPoker. He is also captaining the LATAM region during CoinPoker’s upcoming Global Online Poker Championship.

Seven Straight Days Is a First for High Stakes Poker

High Stakes Poker has been part of poker culture since its original television debut in 2006.

Its appeal was simple. Instead of tournament poker, where escalating blinds and elimination dictated the action, viewers could watch elite professionals and wealthy recreational players battle in enormous cash games.

That produced some of televised poker’s most memorable confrontations.

The latest incarnation has continued on PokerGO, but broadcasting the show live for seven consecutive days represents a significant departure from its traditional format.

PokerGO CEO Brent Hanks said the extended run would bring together the personalities and stakes for which the show has become known.

“Seven straight days of live High Stakes Poker is something we’ve never done before,” Hanks said when announcing the event.

For viewers, the format could create something closer to following a live poker festival than watching an individual cash game stream.

CoinPoker Takes Presenting Sponsor Role

CoinPoker will be attached to all seven broadcasts as presenting sponsor.

The partnership makes considerable sense given the direction the online poker room has taken during 2026.

CoinPoker has increasingly positioned itself around high-stakes poker and aggressive cash game action, while simultaneously increasing its presence at major live events.

Its relationship with the Triton Poker Series has already placed the brand alongside some of the richest tournaments and cash game players in the world.

High Stakes Poker provides another route to the same audience.

CoinPoker said being presenting sponsor of the show’s first complete week of live broadcasts was an “honor” for the company.

CoinPoker Continues Its Push Into Live Poker

The deal is another indication that CoinPoker wants its brand to exist beyond the online tables.

Its partnerships have increasingly connected the site with live poker properties and recognizable players.

Triton gives CoinPoker exposure at the very top of tournament poker. Battle of Malta provides access to a much broader live tournament audience. High Stakes Poker now puts the brand inside one of the game’s best-known cash game shows.

That combination is particularly notable because CoinPoker’s own identity has increasingly been built around cash games.

The site has promoted its Cash Game World Championship while also experimenting with new ways of rewarding aggressive players.

Poker Type recently examined that approach when asking whether the subscription-based 3-Bet Club could be the future of online poker. The $35-a-month membership rewards qualifying players for maintaining aggressive playing statistics, including targets based around 3-bet frequency, VPIP and the relationship between PFR and VPIP.

High Stakes Poker therefore looks less like an isolated sponsorship and more like another part of CoinPoker’s attempt to build an identity around action-heavy cash games.

Timing Coincides With CoinPoker’s $50M GOPC

The broadcasts also arrive immediately after another major CoinPoker project begins.

The Global Online Poker Championship starts on August 23 and continues until September 28, with more than 700 medal events and $50 million in guaranteed prize pools across Europe, Asia and Latin America.

As Poker Type reported when CoinPoker unveiled its $50 million Global Online Poker Championship, the series represents one of the operator’s biggest attempts yet to establish a major international online tournament festival.

The schedule includes a $530 World Championship Main Event carrying a $4 million guarantee, alongside a $55 Mini Main Event with $1 million guaranteed and an $11 Mini Mini Main Event guaranteeing $250,000.

That means the High Stakes Poker broadcasts will begin just two days after GOPC gets underway.

Having Lococo appearing on High Stakes Poker while simultaneously serving as the LATAM captain for the online championship gives CoinPoker an obvious crossover between its live sponsorship and online tournament ambitions.

High Stakes Poker Is Still a Powerful Stage

Poker broadcasting has changed dramatically since High Stakes Poker first appeared two decades ago.

Players can now watch enormous cash games on YouTube, Twitch and dedicated streaming platforms almost every day.

Yet High Stakes Poker has retained something few poker shows possess: a recognizable identity outside the most dedicated poker audience.

Putting the show live for seven consecutive days is therefore an interesting test.

It also represents another significant piece of exposure for CoinPoker at a time when the operator is expanding several parts of its poker offering simultaneously.

Starting August 25, we will find out which players join Robl, Salomon and Lococo, how big the games become and whether seven consecutive days can produce another chapter in High Stakes Poker history.
