Strategy

A short stack is a stack small relative to the blinds, the other stacks or the situation being discussed. In tournaments it usually means limited room for several betting rounds. There is no single threshold that applies to every game.

Example of Short Stack:
You have 10,000 chips at blinds of 500/1,000. Your ten-big-blind stack is short compared with opponents holding 40 or 50 big blinds.
