Indian poker star Santhosh Suvarna has added another remarkable chapter to his growing poker legacy after winning the largest pot ever seen on High Stakes Poker.
The three-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner collected a staggering $2,421,500 during the latest episode of High Stakes Poker Season 16, setting a new record for the iconic televised cash game and surpassing the previous mark by more than $1 million.
Record Falls in Explosive Multi-Way Clash
The historic hand unfolded inside the PokerGO Studio at ARIA in Las Vegas, where several deep-stacked players found premium holdings and strong draws in a hand that quickly escalated.
With stacks approaching seven figures, the action built rapidly before the flop, creating a pot worth more than $400,000 before any community cards were dealt.

Suvarna connected with a powerful set while two opponents also hit strong pieces of the board, creating the perfect recipe for a massive confrontation. As betting intensified, one player eventually folded a premium holding while another committed nearly a million dollars to the middle.

This is not the first time Suvarna has held the show’s all-time record.
Back in Season 12, he won a pot worth almost $1 million against high-stakes regular Andrew Robl. That record stood until Season 14, when Alan Keating captured a pot worth more than $1.4 million.
Now Suvarna has reclaimed the top spot in emphatic fashion.
The new benchmark may prove difficult to beat given the enormous size of the game and the rare combination of deep stacks and strong holdings required to create a pot of this magnitude.
From Businessman to Poker Superstar
Suvarna’s rise to the top of the poker world has been anything but traditional.
Unlike many elite professionals who spent years grinding online games and live tournaments, Suvarna entered the international poker scene relatively late. The Bangalore businessman was already involved in the industry through poker clubs and casino operations before beginning his own high-profile tournament career.
His ascent since then has been extraordinary.
Suvarna now sits comfortably at the top of India’s all-time live tournament money list, having accumulated more than $22 million in recorded tournament earnings. He has also captured three World Series of Poker bracelets, establishing himself as one of the most successful players ever produced by the country.
His largest tournament score came in 2024 when he won the $250,000 Super High Roller at the WSOP for more than $5.4 million.
High Stakes Poker Continues to Deliver
First airing in 2006, High Stakes Poker remains one of the most recognizable TV Poker shows.
The series returned under the PokerGO banner in 2022 and has continued to attract some of the biggest names in the game.
