Poker Terms A–Z
Quads
Quads is poker shorthand for four of a kind: four cards of the same rank. It is one of the strongest standard poker hands, losing only to a straight flush in normal high-hand rankings.
Example
Holding 9-9 on a 9-9-K-4-2 board gives you four nines, commonly called quad nines.
