Poker Terms A–Z
Big Blind
The larger of the two forced blind bets posted before the cards are dealt. The player in the big blind acts last preflop unless there is a raise, but usually acts early after the flop.
Example
In a 1/2 cash game, the small blind posts 1 and the big blind posts 2 before any cards are dealt.
