Americas Cardroom Launches 14-Part WSOP Series With Alex Foxen

Americas Cardroom has launched a new 14-part interview series exploring the World Series of Poker through the players and personalities who experienced it firsthand.

The weekly series begins with high-stakes professional Alex Foxen and will feature poker pros, ambassadors and creators discussing their experiences at the 2026 WSOP in Las Vegas.

The project is another sign of poker operators investing more heavily in personality-driven content away from traditional tournament broadcasts.

Alex Foxen Opens the New WSOP Series

The opening episode puts Alex Foxen in the spotlight, giving viewers an inside look at his summer at the World Series of Poker.

Foxen has been a fixture in high-stakes tournaments for years and has accumulated tens of millions of dollars in live tournament earnings. His career includes major victories around the world and success at the WSOP.

Rather than focusing solely on results, the new series is designed around conversations with the people who spent the summer competing in Las Vegas.

Americas Cardroom says the 14-part project will feature a new guest each week, with players sharing stories and perspectives from poker’s biggest annual festival.

That gives the series plenty of room to move beyond tournament recaps and explore the personalities behind the results.

Poker Operators Are Investing in Creator-Led Content

The launch follows a wider trend across the poker industry.

Poker brands increasingly want content that continues long after the cards have been dealt. YouTube documentaries, behind-the-scenes series, poker vlogs and player interviews allow fans to follow personalities rather than simply watching tournament action.

Poker Type recently covered the return of 888poker’s WSOP docuseries, another project built around showing viewers what happens away from the televised tables.

The two series approach the WSOP differently, but the strategy behind them is similar. Give poker fans greater access to the players and personalities they already follow.

Poker Creators Are Becoming Increasingly Important to Operators

The distinction between professional poker player and poker creator has become increasingly blurred.

Players including Brad Owen, Andrew Neeme and Mariano Grandoli have built substantial audiences by documenting their careers, while established professionals are increasingly appearing in podcasts, livestreams, documentaries and short-form social content.

For poker operators, those audiences are valuable.

A tournament result might generate attention for a day. A strong personality can keep viewers engaged throughout an entire series and continue producing content long after the festival has finished.

Americas Cardroom’s decision to build a 14-week series around individual stories reflects that shift.

A Different Look at the 2026 WSOP

The 2026 World Series of Poker produced another summer of huge tournaments, dramatic hands and major winners, but many of the most interesting stories never make a final-table broadcast.

Interview-led shows provide an opportunity to explore those moments.

Players can discuss the pressure of competing for bracelets, the reality of spending weeks grinding tournaments in Las Vegas and the hands or decisions that defined their summer.

That approach also makes the series accessible to viewers who may be more interested in poker personalities than detailed strategy.

New Episodes Will Arrive Weekly

Americas Cardroom plans to release all 14 episodes on a weekly schedule, beginning with Foxen.

The remaining lineup gives the operator an opportunity to feature a mixture of established professionals, ambassadors and creators over the coming months.

It also means poker fans will continue getting new WSOP-related content well after the final bracelet of the summer has been awarded.

With 888poker also returning to behind-the-scenes WSOP storytelling, the trend is becoming increasingly clear. Poker’s biggest operators no longer see the end of a tournament as the end of the story.
