Is Lex Veldhuis about to trade the old red spade for a GG patch? GGPoker has teased another ambassador announcement, and the Dutch streamer is an obvious name to throw into the pot. He is a free agent, he has been grinding on GGPoker throughout 2026, and he has given the site some memorable content.

But this is poker, where a good read is not the same thing as seeing the cards. As of 2 November 2026, neither GGPoker nor Veldhuis has publicly confirmed an ambassador deal. The question is whether the signs point to a signing or whether the poker community is getting ahead of itself.
What Has GGPoker Actually Announced?
A teaser from GGPoker’s social account prompted fresh discussion about the identity of its next ambassador on Monday. Veldhuis is a possible candidate, due to the amount of WSOP Online action he played this year. That is speculation though, not an announcement, and the available teaser does not identify the new signing.
There is good reason Lex immediately springs to mind. After 17 years representing PokerStars, he left at the start of January and began streaming tournaments on GG without signing a new sponsorship contract. Winning on the site almost immediately only made the speculation louder.
Two X Posts That Made Poker Fans Sit Up
On 3 January, Veldhuis told his followers he had moved on from his long-running PokerStars deal. His announcement on X read:
“After 17 years I have left Pokerstars.
I’m excited about the future and 2026 is going to be a big year!
New chapter begins on stream today. <3”
The following day he posted another update after winning the first GGPoker tournament he had entered. His follow-up on X began: “Won my first tournament I ever played on GG yesterday. Hilarious.”
That $108 Bounty Hunters Special brought him approximately $2,541, hardly a retirement fund but a pretty entertaining first session on a new client.
January’s response to sponsorship questions was more cautious. In an interview with PokerOrg, Veldhuis said, “I’m definitely open to ambassadorships in the future,” but likened leaving a 17-year relationship to needing time after a breakup. When a viewer suggested that GG would be foolish not to sign him, he replied, “It’s also about what I want, right?” Finding the right fit mattered more than getting another logo on the stream.
Lex Veldhuis: Results, Earnings and Streaming Numbers
If GG wants a player who can both put in serious volume and make people watch it, Veldhuis has the CV. He built his name playing high-stakes online cash games as “RaSZi”, became one of Twitch poker’s defining streamers and won his first WCOOP title in 2024. His 2026 campaign also reminded viewers that the commentary comes with a serious poker game attached.
| Lex Veldhuis stat | Figure or result |
|---|---|
| Recorded live tournament winnings | $707,775 (The Hendon Mob) |
| Largest live tournament cash | $277,939, seventh in the 2009 WSOP $40,000 event |
| 2026 WSOP Online | Fifth in the $1,500 Super Turbo Bounty PLO |
| 2026 WSOP Online PLO field | 721 entries; WSOP lists his earnings as $42,381 |
| GGPoker debut | Won a $108 Bounty Hunters Special for approximately $2,541 |

The live money figure is from The Hendon Mob and does not include his full online tournament record or show career profit. For the bigger picture, read our Lex Veldhuis profile and our earlier report on his first WSOP final table in 17 years.
His audience matters just as much in an ambassador negotiation. Earlier in 2026, media reports put his following at roughly 324,000 on Twitch, 145,000 YouTube subscribers, 76,900 on X and 59,700 on Instagram. Those are historical snapshots, not verified live November totals, but they show why signing him would be about much more than tournament results.
Why a GGPoker Deal Makes Sense
First, he’s already playing there. Viewers are used to seeing Lex battle through GG tournaments, including the WSOP Online series. His fifth-place finish in a $1,500 PLO bracelet event in September gave them a proper sweat, and a potential sponsor could hardly ask for a more natural demonstration of its tournament offering.
Second, Veldhuis can speak to both recreational viewers and serious grinders. He understands structures, software, rewards and what players actually complain about. He has spoken about enjoying an ambassador’s ability to provide feedback behind the scenes, not just appear in adverts.
Third, GG has never been shy about mixing established tournament names with creators. Bringing Lex into the group would add an audience built over years at a rival operator. Our GGPoker review looks at the games, rewards, software and player terms for those wondering what all the fuss is about.
Who Are GGPoker’s Current Ambassadors?
GGPoker’s official GGTeam page, checked on 2 November, lists some familiar faces. Daniel Negreanu and Michael Mizrachi sit alongside streaming and creator names such as Kevin Martin, Greg Goes All In, AllinPav and Leah Hauer. Hauer joined as UK and Ireland ambassador in July 2026.
| GGTeam names | GGTeam creators and other members |
|---|---|
| Daniel Negreanu | Kevin Martin |
| Michael Mizrachi | Greg Goes All In |
| Ricky Mao | AllinPav |
| Diego Ventura | Leah Hauer |
| Michael Acevedo | OpusAsu |
| Steve Enríquez | Andy Stacks |
The official roster also names Barbara Akemi, SantaZzz, Yuki Huang, Cristian Stival, Adrian Pora, Bounty Baby, Ins@ne, Lija, Ster0iabanii and ATPoker. Lex was not listed on GGTeam’s public page at the time of writing. PokerType also has profiles of Daniel Negreanu, Kevin Martin and Leah Hauer.
Why It Might Not Be Lex
There is one big snag with the theory: Veldhuis spent the beginning of 2026 enjoying his freedom. He talked about trying different poker sites and keeping control over his content. Playing on GG proves he likes its tournaments, not that he has signed a deal.
There is also no reason to assume the mystery recruit must be a headline streamer. GGTeam signs people from different markets, formats and audiences. A regional creator or rising tournament player could fit the teaser just as well, and the operator has not provided enough to narrow the field to one candidate.
So, Could Lex Be GGPoker’s Next Ambassador?
Absolutely. The timing fits, the audience fits and the player already knows the software. His WSOP Online performances give GG a ready-made story to tell, while signing a former 17-year PokerStars ambassador would make the industry sit up and take notice.
But the smart play is to keep the chips in the rack until someone shows the contract. Right now this is a plausible rumour, not a confirmed transfer. We’ll update the story if GGPoker names its mystery ambassador or Veldhuis comments publicly.
