Poker Type has launched a new free Texas Hold’em Calculator, giving players a quick and simple way to check hand equity, win percentage and tie chances from Heads Up through to full 10-player tables.
The new calculator is the latest addition to Poker Type’s growing collection of free poker tools and forms part of a wider plan to give players practical resources they can use to study hands, understand decisions and improve their game.

A Hold’em Calculator Built to Be Easy to Use
Poker equity calculators have existed for years, but many are designed around dense menus, range grids and technical interfaces that can make them less approachable for casual players.
Poker Type’s Texas Hold’em Calculator takes a more visual approach.
Users select the number of players at the table, beginning with Heads Up and extending all the way to 10-handed poker. Hole cards and community cards can then be entered using a visual card selector or typed manually using familiar poker shorthand such as As Kh.
Players can assign specific cards to opponents or leave their holdings unknown, allowing the calculator to simulate situations where an opponent’s exact hand is not known.
Flop, turn and river cards can all be added individually, making the tool useful for both preflop comparisons and postflop hand analysis.
Once the hand is set, the calculator provides equity, win percentage and tie percentage for the players involved.
It also identifies the current hand and highlights relevant draws, helping users understand more than simply which hand has the highest percentage.
From Heads Up to Multiway Pots
The calculator has been designed to cover situations that go beyond standard one-versus-one comparisons.
Players can recreate multiway pots involving up to 10 players and compare how additional opponents affect the equity of a particular holding.
That makes it possible to explore everything from a straightforward pocket pair against two overcards to complicated postflop situations involving several players and partially known information.
Users can also remove and replace individual cards without rebuilding the entire hand.
A sharing feature allows calculated hands to be turned into a shareable link, making it easier to discuss a particular situation with other players. Sharing options include X, Reddit, WhatsApp and Facebook, with the hand details and calculated results included in the accompanying text.

The Texas Hold’em Calculator joins Discover Your Poker DNA in Poker Type’s expanding free tools section.
Poker DNA takes a very different approach to poker improvement. Instead of calculating cards and probabilities, the assessment explores how players approach risk, pressure, aggression, analysis and other aspects of decision-making.
Together, the two tools reflect the direction Poker Type intends to take with its free resources.
Some tools will focus on the mathematics of poker. Others will examine decision-making, strategy, study and the different ways players approach the game.
